After 21 years working as a field construction laborer,  Paul was hired as an “in-shop” employee at Pathway Bellows, and during his thirteen years there, was provided extensive training in the bellows forming process as well as shaping and welding sub-assemblies, qualification of weld procedures, and all operations used during the fabrication of the expansion joint assemblies.  His training covered the fabrication of metal bellows assemblies ranging in diameter from 2” to 144”, and Paul was ultimately selected to be a member of the Field Service Team, with focus on installation of new expansion joints, field repair of existing expansion joints, clam shell installation, and troubleshooting all issues associated with the function and service of metal expansion joints…….and later on, the fabrication and installation of fabric expansion joints as well.  Paul’s knowledge and experience led him to become the Field Service Manager for Senior Flexonics, and a few years later, was hired by KE-Burgmann, where he worked for 22 years, until retiring in 2018. 

Once retired, Paul discovered he wasn’t ready for the life of leisure, so he became P Schubert Consulting LLC.   Since that time, Paul has been hired to perform both hot and cold job walks for the FCCU assemblies in Chemical/Petrochemical plants and refineries, has performed inspections as well in Power Plants and other industrial facilities throughout the United States.  He has traveled all over the world, and today, continues to tap into his vast knowledge of both metal and fabric expansion joints, and extensively into the processes both are used for.  Paul has trained his own crew of field service technicians during the past 25 years, so if a crew is required for installation, manning the crew for you is not a problem!
